Dan M. Rice is Of Counsel at Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, He concentrates his practice on matters involving real estate law, and construction and commercial litigation. Mr. Rice represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and architects in matters relating to construction and real estate. His transactional practice includes negotiation of contracts, from general and construction management contracts to specialty subcontracts and design professional engagements.

Over the years, Mr. Rice has represented parties in all phases of litigation, at both the trial level and at the appellate level. He has successfully represented clients in a variety of construction and real estate matters, from breach of contract disputes and mechanic lien and mortgage foreclosures, to Article 78 proceedings against public entities and complex project litigation. In addition, he has represented parties in arbitration, and has served as arbitrator in multi-million dollar construction disputes. Mr. Rice has served on the American Arbitration Association construction panel, from 1990 to 1997, and from 2014 to the present.

Mr. Rice has served on the Construction Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association and has taught design management law classes at Pratt Institute and construction law at New York University. He has taught Continuing Legal Education classes relating to construction, and has authored articles which have appeared in the Bulletin of the New York Society of Architects and in New York Construction News.
