Hotan Rohparvar is Of Counsel at Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens LLP, where he focuses his practice on representing landlords, property owners, and real estate stakeholders throughout New York and New Jersey. He regularly handles complex landlord-tenant litigation in Civil Court, Supreme Court, and the Appellate Courts of New York, as well as the Special Civil Part and Civil Part of the Law Division in New Jersey. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, Hotan provides practical, strategic counsel to help clients protect and maximize the value of their real estate assets.

Hotan represents property owners and managing agents in all aspects of commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation, including nonpayment and holdover proceedings, licensee and squatter removals, and disputes involving rent-stabilized, rent-controlled, and market-rate tenancies. Throughout his career, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars in unpaid rent and use-and-occupancy claims on behalf of current and former landlords. Prior to joining KMWB, Hotan spent fifteen years at one of New York’s largest landlord-tenant law firms, where he managed every stage of litigation, from pleadings and motion practice through discovery, trial, and appeal.

In addition to his litigation practice, Hotan advises owners, cooperative corporations, condominium boards, and other property owners on commercial and residential leasing matters, helping clients structure leases, riders, guaranty agreements, and other transactional documents to minimize risk and reduce the likelihood of future disputes. He also counsels clients on compliance with New York’s evolving landlord-tenant laws, including the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act and New York City’s Fair Chance for Housing Act, providing proactive guidance as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve.

Originally from Tehran, Iran, Hotan now resides on Long Island with his wife and three sons. Outside the office, he enjoys cycling, traveling with his family and playing soccer.

Hotan is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. He earned his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
