Tanya M. Owens is a partner at Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens. She joined the firm in August, 2011. Her areas of concentration include complex commercial real estate litigation and landlord-tenant litigation. Tanya has extensive trial experience and regularly appears in New York State Supreme Court and New York City Civil Court. She handles summary nonpayment and holdover proceedings and is currently helping landlords develop new strategies in light of the changes to the rent law legislation.

Tanya has participated in all aspects of litigation from pretrial discovery through the prosecution of bench and jury trials. In addition, she has experience in representing purchasers and sellers in commercial and residential real estate transactions. She also acts as a transfer agent for cooperative corporations in New York City.

Prior to joining Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, LLP, Tanya was employed by a New York firm that advised condominiums and cooperatives on all aspects of their operations, including matters relating to Mitchell-Lama housing companies. Before entering private practice, Tanya was a felony trial assistant with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where she successfully prosecuted numerous felony jury trials.
