KMWB Wins US Court Trial – $1.35 Million Judgment Based on Theft, Money Laundering, Kickbacks

William Hummell, Esq. of KMWB, won a trial in U.S. District Court and a $1.35 million Judgment on November 24, 2020 in favor of international trading company against former employee who stole money during sale of steel rods and other steel products to customers in the Caribbean, including money laundering and illegal kickbacks from Shanghai, China through a Hong Kong bank. Mr. Hummell prevailed on each tort cause of action: Violation of Duty of Fidelity and Undivided Loyalty to Employer, Breach of Fiduciary Obligations, Conversion, Replevin, Faithless Servant and Unjust Enrichment.
