Abner is Of Counsel to Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, LLP, and a senior attorney who specializes in bankruptcy law, creditors’ rights, and commercial and real estate litigation and transactions. In his bankruptcy practice, he has represented secured creditors and indenture trustees and served on creditors’ committees in major Chapter 11 reorganization cases, including those of Eastern Airlines and of Federated Department Stores. As a litigator, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of complex civil actions in the state courts (including Surrogate’s courts and the Court of Claims) as well as in the federal courts. His litigated cases include a wide range of matters including contract disputes, enforcement of security interests under the UCC, bankruptcy claims, priorities and stay issues, disputed estate claims and labor litigation. Prior to joining Kucker, Marino, Winiarsky, & Bittens, LLP, he was associated with Breed, Abbott & Morgan, and earlier with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
